New · Scene Analytics

See how people explore your 3D scenes — without tracking them.

Kroscloud Scene Analytics shows you views, real engagement time, which panoramas and points visitors actually opened, and what devices they used — for every 3D model, 360° tour, and map you publish. It runs on a cookieless, identifier-free pipeline, so you get the numbers that matter without a single tracking cookie.

Why it's different

Honest engagement numbers, zero tracking

Most viewer analytics make you choose between useful data and respecting your visitors. Kroscloud is built so you don't have to.

Privacy-first by design

No cookies, no visitor identifier, no IP storage, no fingerprinting. The data simply can't be tied to a person.

Engagement, not vanity

Median active time excludes idle and background-tab time, so you see how long visitors really engaged — not how long a tab sat open.

Scene-deep detail

Per-panorama dwell time and per-point interaction counts tell you which parts of a scene actually held attention.

Consent-free embeds

Because nothing is tracked, you can embed an analytics-enabled scene on any site with no cookie banner.

What you measure

Everything the dashboard shows you

Open the Analytics view for any scene and pick a window of 7, 30, 90, or 365 days. Here's what's inside.

Views

How many times the scene was opened. Each load is one viewing session — because the viewer is cookieless it counts sessions honestly, never inflating with guessed "unique visitors".

Median active time

Time visitors were genuinely engaged — visible tab plus recent input. Idle and background-tab time is excluded, so it answers "how long did they actually explore?"

Daily views trend

A per-day chart across your selected window so you can spot launch spikes, campaign effects, and seasonal patterns at a glance.

Top interactions

Counts for the actions that matter — point-of-interest clicks, layer switches, info-dialog and photo opens, and fullscreen — broken down per point and per layer.

Per-panorama dwell time

For multi-scene tours, see how many visits each panorama or sub-view received and the median active time spent on each — language variants included.

Device split

The share of mobile, tablet, and desktop visitors — three coarse buckets only, with no browser version, OS, or fingerprint behind them.

Embed vs direct origin

How many sessions opened your scene embedded on a third-party site versus directly on Kroscloud — useful when one embed is shared across many host pages.

Privacy, built in

Every number is aggregated from identifier-free telemetry. Read the full technical disclosure on the Viewer Data Privacy page.

Full documentation

Want the details on each metric and how it's calculated? The Analytics documentation covers everything.

How it works

From a scene view to your dashboard — cookie-free

There's nothing to install and nothing for your visitors to consent to. It just works the moment your plan includes it.

1

Publish a scene

Upload and share a 3D model, 360° tour, or map as usual. On a Business or Enterprise account, analytics is on automatically — an Analytics item appears in the dropdown on each scene tile in your scenes board.

2

Visitors explore

As people view and interact with the scene, the viewer sends anonymous, aggregate signals — engaged time and which points, layers and panoramas were used. No cookies are set, no identifier is created, and no IP address is stored.

3

Read your dashboard

A background job rolls raw signals into per-day, per-scene aggregates about every 15 minutes, then deletes the short-lived raw rows. You read clean, aggregate-only numbers — never any per-visitor record.

The privacy contract

What it never does

  • No cookies set by the viewer
  • No persistent visitor identifier — not even a short-lived one
  • No IP address read or stored by analytics
  • No User-Agent, screen, font, or WebGL fingerprinting
  • No third-party trackers loaded in the viewer

What you get instead

  • Aggregate views, engaged time and interactions
  • Per-panorama dwell time for tours
  • Device and embed-origin splits
  • Raw signals kept for minutes, then summarised
  • An embed you can place with no consent banner

Full disclosure on the Viewer Data Privacy page.

Kroscloud vs Sketchfab

How the analytics compare

Sketchfab is a strong public marketplace and community. Kroscloud is built for sharing and measuring your own scenes privately. That difference shows up clearly in the analytics each one gives you.

Capability Kroscloud Scene Analytics Sketchfab
Cookieless, consent-free embedded viewer YesNo cookies or trackers; embed with no consent banner. NoThe embedded player runs scripts and accesses cookies, so embedding on an EU-facing site requires visitor consent.
Identifier-free analytics YesNo visitor ID, no IP storage, no fingerprint. NoUsage data is associated with an account profile or a device/profile identifier, plus IP, per Sketchfab's privacy policy.
View counts YesPer-scene viewing sessions. YesPer-model view counts on all tiers.
Per-day views trend YesDaily chart over 7 / 30 / 90 / 365 days. LimitedThe public Data API exposes only a single cumulative viewCount with no time series; no per-day owner-dashboard trend is documented.
Engaged ("active") time, idle excluded YesMedian active time per scene and per sub-scene. NoMetrics are count-based; no view-duration or watch-time metric is documented.
Per-panorama / sub-scene dwell time YesVisits and median active time per panorama. NoNo per-sub-scene breakdown in creator stats.
Per-point / per-interaction counts YesPOI clicks, layer switches, info/photo opens, fullscreen. NoAnnotation events are delivered to the embedder's own code via the Viewer API; Sketchfab does not surface per-annotation counts to creators.
Device split YesMobile / tablet / desktop, coarse only. EnterpriseDevice segmentation is described for Sketchfab's Enterprise analytics, per its published plans.
Embed vs direct origin split YesEmbedded iframe vs main site. PartialDocuments "embed impressions" vs "model views" as separate metrics.

Comparison compiled from Sketchfab's own public plans and pricing pages, its plans/pricing blog post, Compatibility help article, Data API documentation, and privacy policy, reviewed June 2026. Sketchfab is a trademark of its respective owner; capabilities and plan tiers may change. "Enterprise" denotes capabilities Sketchfab describes for its Enterprise / Organization tier.

The short version: if you need public-community signals like likes and downloads, that's Sketchfab's territory. If you need to know how deeply people engaged with your scene — and you want to embed it anywhere without a cookie banner — that's what Kroscloud is built for. See also our consent-free 3D viewer.

Who it's for

Built for people who deliver scenes, not chase visitors

Heritage & museums

See which artefacts and panoramas held attention and which audio points were opened, so you can refine tours — all without putting a cookie banner in front of the public.

Real estate & architecture

Show clients real engagement on a property walkthrough — how long viewers explored and which rooms and floor-plan points they opened — embedded on your own listing pages.

Surveying & construction

Track how stakeholders engage with photogrammetry deliverables and multi-layer progress timelines, and see which phases and survey points drew the most attention.

Client deliverables & education

Prove the value of an interactive presentation with engaged-time numbers, and learn which points and panoramas students or clients actually used — on any device.

FAQ

Scene Analytics questions

What does Kroscloud Scene Analytics measure?

For each published scene: views, median active engagement time, a per-day views trend, counts of in-scene interactions (point-of-interest clicks, layer switches, info and photo opens, fullscreen), per-panorama dwell time for multi-scene tours, and splits by device kind and by embed-versus-direct origin — all aggregated from cookieless, identifier-free telemetry.

Does the viewer use cookies or track individual visitors?

No. The pipeline sets no cookies, creates no persistent visitor identifier, stores no IP addresses, and does no fingerprinting. Each scene load is an anonymous viewing session counted with a throwaway in-memory id that is never written to storage and cannot recognise a returning visitor.

Do I need a cookie consent banner to embed an analytics-tracked scene?

No. Because the embedded viewer is cookieless and tracker-free for anonymous visitors, you can embed an analytics-enabled Kroscloud scene on a third-party website without forcing that site to display a cookie consent banner. See our consent-free 3D viewer page for the full reasoning.

How is this different from Sketchfab's analytics?

Kroscloud is privacy-first and engagement-deep: median active time, per-panorama dwell, and per-interaction counts, from a cookieless viewer you can embed with no consent banner. Sketchfab's per-model stats centre on community counts (views, likes, comments, downloads); per its published plans, richer audience segmentation is offered at the Enterprise tier, and its embedded player accesses cookies, so embedding it on an EU-facing site requires visitor consent. See the full comparison above.

Which plans include Scene Analytics?

It's included with the Business and Enterprise plans. Once your account is on one of those tiers, an Analytics item appears in the dropdown on every scene tile in your scenes board, opening a dashboard scoped to that scene. See pricing.

Is the data real-time?

No. The dashboard reads per-day aggregate tables that a background job refreshes about every 15 minutes, so activity from the last 15–30 minutes may not yet appear. There's no live "currently watching" counter — that's the trade-off for a fully cookieless, identifier-free pipeline.

Can I see who viewed my scene or how many unique people returned?

No, by design. With no persistent identifier, the dashboard counts viewing sessions rather than unique people, and cannot identify individual visitors, show cross-day returning-visitor counts, trace journeys across scenes, or build per-visitor heatmaps. The same design is exactly what makes the embedded viewer safe to drop on any website without a consent banner. Full details on the Viewer Data Privacy page.
