Kroscloud turns a Gaussian Splat capture — from Scaniverse, Polycam, Postshot, or any tool that exports a splat file — into a fast, interactive scene you embed like a YouTube video. Add annotated points, audio narration and GPS context, measure it on a reference mesh, protect access and track engagement — then publish it with a link or an embed. Nothing for your visitors to install.
Every splat in full detail, shared by link or embed.
Plenty of places will host a splat and give you a link. Kroscloud is built for the step after that: making your capture a professional, interactive presentation on your own website.
Most scenes load once and show every splat you uploaded — crisp from the first frame, with no level-of-detail blur and nothing sharpening in afterwards. Very large captures and lighter devices get a streamed version automatically.
Embed-first by design: nothing around your scene but your own page — no gallery branding, no comments, no "more like this" leading visitors away, and a cookieless viewer that needs no consent banner.
Annotated points, audio narration, 360° side-scenes and GPS context turn a capture into something visitors explore — the same presentation toolset as every Kroscloud presentation.
Password-protected delivery, real measurements and contour lines on a reference mesh, cookieless analytics, multilingual variants, and control over exactly how the embedded scene behaves on your page.
Gaussian Splatting is the biggest leap in reality capture since photogrammetry — the photo-based 3D scanning professionals have used for a decade. Instead of building a hard polygon model, it recreates a place from ordinary photos or video as millions of tiny, soft points of color — splats. Seen together, they look like a photograph you can move through: real lighting, reflections that shift as you move, vegetation, fabric, and fine structures that traditional 3D models turn into mush.
You don't need to be a 3D artist to make one. A phone app or a desktop tool does the capturing and processing; what comes out is a splat file. That's where Kroscloud picks up — we turn that file into a fast, shareable, embeddable scene, automatically.
Splats complement classic photogrammetry rather than replacing it: a mesh — the classic polygon model — is still what you need for CAD-grade geometry, a splat wins when you want presence and realism. And you don't have to choose in order to measure: upload the project's mesh as an invisible reference and Kroscloud measures, profiles and contours your splat the way it does a 3D model scene. Kroscloud hosts both splat and mesh scenes in one account.
Using captures commercially? Check that your capture app's license tier covers commercial use — several apps license it in a paid tier only.
A splat scene on Kroscloud is a full interactive presentation — the presentation toolset you get for mesh, 360° and map scenes, working directly on the splat. (Switchable layers remain a mesh-scene tool for now.)
Place text, image, YouTube and 360° panorama points by clicking directly on the splat. Points sit in the scene — correctly hidden behind walls and objects as visitors move around.
Attach narration or ambient sound to the scene and to individual points, per language — a museum-grade audio guide inside a photoreal capture.
A point of interest can carry visitors into a 360° panorama and back into the splat — combine drone-scale capture with ground-level detail in one tour.
Pin the capture to real-world coordinates. Visitors exploring on site can see their live position inside the scene — a bridge from screen to street.
Client work stays private: password and token access that protects the scene data itself as it streams — so protection doesn't get in the way of speed.
Views, engaged time and point-by-point interaction counts for every splat scene — from a privacy-first pipeline with no cookies and no consent banner.
Splats look right, but they have no solid surface to measure. Kroscloud solves that the honest way: upload the mesh from the same project as an invisible reference, and the distances, height profiles and contour lines you know from 3D model scenes work on your splat.
.glb.Distances are shown in metres — export your mesh in metres, or scale them from GPS reference points instead. Step-by-step guide
Horizontal, vertical and direct distances between points placed on the scene.
A continuous elevation profile along any line you draw across the terrain or structure, with a downloadable chart.
Click to add an elevation contour, then step further lines above or below at a fixed vertical interval — on a splat.
Results are only as good as the reference mesh you upload: real photogrammetry geometry, not a guess derived from the splat. That's deliberate — it's the geometry surveyors already trust, and it's exactly how Kroscloud measures on 3D model scenes. Layers remain a mesh-scene tool for now.
All the heavy lifting — compression, full-detail and streaming preparation, thumbnails, camera framing — happens automatically on our servers.
Scan with a phone app or train from drone footage, then export a splat file — .ply, .spz, .splat, .ksplat or .sog, up to 1.5 GB and 5 million splats (5 GB and 20 million on Business).
Drop the file into Create 3D Splat Scene. Saving is instant; within minutes your scene is optimized for the web (~80% smaller in our tests), prepared for full-detail viewing and streaming, given a thumbnail and an auto-framed opening view. Your original is archived untouched, at full quality.
Add points, audio and GPS in the editor, then share a link or paste one iframe snippet into your website or CMS — like embedding a YouTube video. Protection and analytics are one switch away.
Splat scenes are enormous — a raw capture can be hundreds of megabytes. We built our viewer engine so your visitors never feel it.

The short version: free galleries are a showcase — a destination you send people to. Kroscloud is a component of your web presence: your page, your brand, your visitors, your data. Free galleries are where many creators start — until a client asks for a password, a logo, or numbers.
Interiors, monuments and excavation sites with the presence a mesh can't convey — narrated point by point with a multilingual audio guide, embedded on the institution's own site with no cookie banner.
Let people walk a square, a trail or a venue before they travel — and when they arrive, the same scene shows their live GPS position on site. Turn viewers into visitors.
Exteriors, gardens and light-filled interiors rendered the way they actually look. As photoreal splat tours spread across real-estate marketing, independent agents and photographers can publish the same experience on their own listing pages.
Communicate site conditions to stakeholders photoreally — and measure on the same scene: add the project's mesh as a reference and get distances, height profiles and contour lines on the splat. CAD stays with the mesh deliverable; both scene types live in one account.
Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) is a reality-capture technique that rebuilds a real place or object from photos or video as millions of tiny, soft color points called splats. Viewed together they look like a photograph you can move through: real lighting, reflections, vegetation and fine detail that traditional 3D models struggle with. On Kroscloud, a splat scene is a first-class scene type: you upload the splat file, and we turn it into a fast, interactive web page or embed.
Five formats: .ply, .spz, .splat, .ksplat and .sog. Uploads can be up to 1.5 GB and 5 million splats per scene (5 GB and 20 million on Business). Whatever you upload, Kroscloud archives your original file untouched at full quality and serves visitors an automatically optimized, compressed version — so improved delivery formats can be produced later without asking you to re-upload.
From any capture or training tool that exports a splat: phone apps like Scaniverse and Polycam, desktop trainers like Postshot that work from drone or camera footage, and open-source tools like Nerfstudio or Brush. The free SuperSplat editor is a popular way to clean up a capture before publishing. If you plan to use a capture commercially, check that your capture app's license tier covers commercial use.
No. Kroscloud splat scenes run in any modern browser on desktop, tablet and phone — nothing to install, nothing to choose. On newer devices the viewer automatically uses WebGPU, the browser's latest graphics technology, for especially smooth motion; on other modern browsers it falls back to standard browser 3D. Quality also adapts to each device, so the same scene works on a workstation and a mid-range phone.
In most cases, yes. Most scenes open in full detail: the viewer downloads the optimized scene once, behind the loading screen, and draws every splat you uploaded, with no level-of-detail approximation and no blurry areas that sharpen later, so what visitors see when the loading screen lifts is the finished scene. On phones and tablets the full-detail view uses a lighter colour encoding to save memory. Very large captures, phones or tablets on bigger scenes, and browsers without WebGPU automatically get a streamed version that starts quickly and sharpens as visitors explore.
Paste one iframe snippet — like embedding a YouTube video. Every Kroscloud splat scene has a Share dialog with the embed code and a direct link; the embed shows only the viewer, with no gallery branding and no suggested content, and works in any website builder or CMS.
Yes. Splat scenes support Kroscloud's protected scenes: visitors need a password or a private access link, and the protection covers the scene data itself as it streams — not just the page around it — so protecting a scene doesn't get in the way of streaming speed. You can also keep a scene private, or share it only through the embed on your own site.
Yes — with a reference mesh. Upload a mesh of the same scene (a .glb from the photogrammetry project or capture app that produced your splat) in the editor's Collider mesh menu, and your splat scene gets the same distances, height profiles and contour lines as a Kroscloud 3D model scene. The mesh is never shown to visitors — it only provides the surface the tools measure on, so results are as accurate as the mesh you upload. Distances are shown in metres, so export your mesh in metres (the default for most photogrammetry and capture tools); with all three GPS reference points set and Use GPS distances switched on, they are scaled from the georeference instead.
From the same project or capture that made the splat, so both share position and scale: export a mesh from the same RealityScan or 3DF Zephyr project as the splat, or export a mesh of the same capture from Scaniverse, Polycam or KIRI Engine (convert it to .glb if the app exports another format). Export a decimated, texture-free, uncompressed .glb (no Draco) under 100 MB. If the mesh comes in rotated, the rotate buttons (90° steps about X, Y or Z) fix the usual axis mismatches, and a wireframe overlay lets you check the alignment before publishing.
Saving is instant: your scene appears on your board as a Processing tile and activates by itself, usually within a few minutes. During that time Kroscloud validates the file, compresses it, prepares a full-detail version that shows every splat plus a streamed version for very large captures and lighter devices, renders a thumbnail and frames an opening camera automatically. See the step-by-step upload guide in the Help section.
Yes: Kroscloud offers commercial licensing, and your uploaded content remains yours. Two things to check on your side: that your capture app's tier licenses commercial use of the capture, and that you have the rights to the place or object you scanned. See our pricing page for the plan that fits.
