Background settings
The Background settings menu controls what appears behind your model. You can choose a plain colour, a flat image, or a 360° panoramic skybox that surrounds the scene. Changes preview live in the editor and are applied when you press Save.
Choosing a background type
Three buttons at the top of the menu switch between the background types:
Solid colour
A single flat colour. Pick it with the colour picker (drag the swatch or type a hex value); the scene updates as you choose. Best when you want the model itself to be the only focus.
Image
A flat image behind the model. You can pick from:
- Built-in images — a library of ready-made backgrounds; click one to apply it.
- Your images — upload your own (PNG or JPEG, up to ~10 MB) and reuse them across scenes.
Panoramic (skybox)
A 360° image that wraps around the whole scene, so the model looks like it sits inside a real environment. Choose from:
- Built-in panoramas — a library of 360° environments.
- Your panoramas — upload an equirectangular 360° image (JPEG or PNG, up to ~100 MB).
2D map (tile) scenes
For 2D map / tile scenes the background is simpler: only a solid colour is available, since the map fills the view.
Saving your changes
The Save button becomes active once you make a change; Discard changes reverts to the previously saved background.
