Georeference (GPS)
Georeferencing pins your 3D model to a real location on the globe. By matching three points on the model to their real-world latitude/longitude, the viewer can show a visitor's live GPS position on the model — ideal for on-site navigation of scanned places.
Georeference status
The master switch that turns georeferencing on for the scene. It stays disabled until all three points are fully defined, and it requires a Business account.
Reference points A, B and C
Each of the three points needs two things set:
- Reference point — the spot on the model. Click set point, then double-click the model where that location is. You can later change it, look at it (jump the camera there), or delete it.
- Latitude & longitude — the real-world coordinates of that spot. Use edit to type them in, or from clipboard to paste coordinates you copied (e.g. from a map app). Delete clears them.
49.1234N (N/S) and longitude like
16.6068E (E/W). Pasting from the clipboard parses common formats automatically. Choose three points
spread well apart for the most accurate alignment.
Works with measurement
Once all three points are set, you can switch on GPS distance override in the Measurement menu to base distances on GPS coordinates.
Put your scan on the map
Georeferencing and live positioning are part of the Business plan.
